A multi-generational church with city wide impact, that's healthy, growing and full of love
What we believe
As a church, we are a family consisting of brothers and sisters in Christ, fathers and mothers in the faith, adopted into the family of God.
We have a genuine love for each other; embracing people from different walks of life, and affirming each generation. Every believer has a valuable contribution to make (Rom 12, 1 Peter 2, 1 Cor 12, Eph 4).

Within our church family, we celebrate each individual’s uniqueness and ‘unity through diversity’. As a local church community we are passionate about impacting and supporting the wider community. We love to support our city, and partner with others who also seek its peace and prosperity. (Jer 29:7)
Word & Spirit
We have an equal burden for the Word and the Spirit, and vision to see them come together
-
The Word - we are committed to the absolute authority and accuracy of Scripture, even where it flies in the face of tradition, contemporary culture or intellectual fashion.
-
The Spirit - we are committed to experiencing (and not merely believing in) the presence and power of the Holy Spirit today. Taking the book of Acts as a vision of church life, we desire spiritual gifts and pursue the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
Our statement
of beliefs
We believe in The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word.
It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
(2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe in The Trinity
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
He exists in three Persons; God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
He is totally loving and completely holy.

(Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,2; 4:24; Acts 5:3,4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man.
He came to earth, was conceived in the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life.
He died on the cross in our place, and rose again in bodily form, to reconcile all people to God and to free them from the power of sin and the devil.
He will return someday and consummate the building of His Kingdom.
All who are His bride shall reign with Him forever. All who reject Him shall suffer eternal destruction.

(Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13)

We believe in the Fall of Humanity
We believe in the dignity of all people made male and female in God’s image. We believe that because of Adam and Eve’s sin, all people are born in this world as sinners and have been separated from God and His purpose for their lives.
We believe that people are made children of God when they repent of their sin, believe in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, and commit their life to Him as Lord.

(Genesis 1:26,27; 3:1,24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; I John 1:8)

We believe in the Holy Spirit
We believe that believers are to seek being baptised, or filled, with the Holy Spirit, either at or soon after conversion. This should not be a once off experience but an ongoing filling by the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the one who draws believers closer to God, transforms them into the image of Jesus Christ, empowers them for ministry, and distributes spiritual gifts to the believers for the building of the Church.

(John 16:5-15; Romans 8:16,23,26,27; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

We believe in Baptism and Communion
We believe that Baptism in Water for believers and Communion are two ordinances that have been given to the church and should be followed by all believers.

(Baptism: Acts 2:38-41; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:26-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3-4)
 (Communion: Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

We believe in the Universal Church
We believe in the Church, the body of Christ both local and universal and therefore the priesthood of all believers.
We believe that though it has multitudes of diverse local expressions, there is only one Universal Church of Jesus Christ.
The Church consists of all who have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
 (Romans 12:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:12-16; Hebrews 10:24-25)

We believe in Grace
We believe that we are saved by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ.
This grace is a gift of God and cannot be obtained by any work of our own.
 (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1,2; Hebrews 2:9; 4:16)
