Our Kids Program
We want to help kids develop a living relationship with the living God. Kids are growing up in a world that seeks to strip them of their identity and their value, so they need to be equipped:
-
to know the truth of God’s promises and how to apply them to their lives
-
to engage God’s power through prayer
-
to walk in step with the Holy Spirit and learn to discern His voice
-
and to release victory in their lives and the lives of others through praise
New for 2023, we've developed and planned a 10 week cycle for each of the 4 school terms which will incorporate each of the aspects of Promises, Prayer, Prophecy and Praise (the '4 P's') .
Embed God's truth as we explore His promises in his Word
Promises
Engage God's heart as we pray, learning to model our prayers on patterns we see in the Bible
Prayer
Encounter God's Spirit as we make time and space to hear his voice
Prophecy
Enjoy God's goodness through praise parties where we will reflect on his character and his faithfulness
Praise
Interwoven throughout will be dedicated times of worship, where we will enter into his presence.
Worship
Sunday Kids Groups
We have 3 kids groups running on a Sunday morning. Generally speaking, kids go out of the main service to their own groups about 2 or 3 songs into the worship time and stay there, until collected by you, after the service is finished.

When they go to kids church we are not sending them ‘out‘ of our meeting or out of Gods presence but we are providing them with a setting where they can learn about God in an exciting and relevant way for them, where they can grow in their knowledge of him and his love for them and their identity in him.

All the leaders and helpers on the Kids ministry team are required to have WWCC.
Light House is for children aged school year 4 and up. In this group we have fun playing games, sharing about our week, learning about Jesus through the '4 P's' and developing our prayer life.
Little Lights is for school aged children, up to and including year 3. In Little Lights we play, enjoy morning tea, read bible stories, learn about Jesus and make a craft. We follow the same curriculum as the Light House group but adapt it to meet the needs of the younger children.
Sparkles caters for those who are 18months to 4 years. We currently have a separate and supervised space in our Little Lights room. At times they enjoy morning tea, songs, and some activities with Little Lights, and at other times they engage in supervised play.
There is no requirement to book or enrol in advance - just drop your kids off at kids church with the leaders when prompted during the service. The leaders will take details from you when you drop them off. We love having visitors and making new friends!

For the youngest members of our church family, age appropriate toys are provided and a designated play area is set up at the back of the main service.
Ignite is for our High Schoolers. 3-4 times a term we sit on the balcony, gather around the bible, and discover how Jesus is the answer to life’s big questions. We also love having our Ignite youth involved in aspects of our Sunday service as we watch them grow and develop their own gifts and areas of passion.
